Before contractors can receive the final payment on a project, all work must be completed and approved during the final walkthrough. With the construction punch list form, users can easily track which items still need to be completed in real time from any mobile device. The construction punch list includes fields for the project number, building location, date of inspection, contractor contact information and a summary of the items that still need to be completed or repaired as part of the construction project.
The failure to include an item on the contractor punch list does not relieve the contractor of their responsibility to complete work in accordance with contract documents. Once items have reached substantial completion and been inspected, the client and contractor can sign off on the results electronically.
