Instead of filling out paper inspection forms during inspections of factory-built homes, these inspections can now be completed using a smartphone or tablet.
Typically, fire marshal inspections for manufactured buildings and manufactured homes are performed by factory-built building officials who are assigned by the State Fire Marshal. The purpose of these factory-built home inspections is to verify that the manufactured building meets the minimum installation standards and safety codes of Mississippi, as set forth in Rules and Regulations for the Uniform Standards Code for Factory Built Homes Law Regulation MH-5 (amended). The inspections app includes checking a variety of manufactured housing features, including those related to building codes and safety features, such as sprinkler systems, water supply connections, smoke alarms, carbon monoxide detectors and more.

“I’m not a tech guy and I was able to pick this thing up in probably an hour, and actually start to build apps. I’ve done them over lunch when I’ve gotten frustrated with a process that didn’t exist in our company. So for non tech people who’ve got a problem, the support here is awesome and I’d recommend it to anybody, not just in our industry.”
