Coast Guard lifesaving regulations.
Lifesaving equipment (original or replacement) including personal flotation devices, rafts, any lifeboat, survival craft or signaling equipment onboard all EPA vessels shall be approved by the US Coast Guard and be SOLAS-compliant. Where emergency or lifesaving equipment is not required but installed, the equipment shall also meet the same regulations.
Minimum outfitting of emergency lifesaving equipment onboard all EPA vessels will be as prescribed in 46 CFR Parts 25 and 199. These regulations, as contained in this app, are established for the use of onboard lifesaving equipment and survival at sea.
