You do this by providing the gallon size of the container or bag you to collect the waste and multiplying it by the number of containers you put out to the curb during a one week period. You may want to post this near your main waste collection area in your home and tell the people you live with that you are tracking all of the household waste for a week. Since most households have more than one trash container of varying sizes (usually one in the kitchen and another in the bathroom or bedroom) more than one space is provided on the Log to calculate the volume of trash. You will need to add these sections together to come up with your total volume of trash produced in one week.
