If you are a hoist, tugger or crane operator, you should use the Hoisting Apparatus Inspection: Base-Mounted Drum Hoist (Tugger) - Daily and Annual Mobile App to conduct inspections. Keep yourself and those around you safe and reduce potential dangers by using this app on your iPhone, iPad or Android device.
Common faults encountered with wire rope hoists and chain hoists are unsafe cables or chains, faulty brakes and defective limit switches. Inspection checks include hoist and hydraulic fluid levels, brake check, engine fluid level, tire pressure, boom, wire rope, wedge sockets and clips, and block. Also make sure to inspect the cab including all gauges and indicators, load chart, fire extinguisher, drum rotation indicator, boom, hoist and all other indicators.
In addition to the daily inspection, an annual inspection of the hoisting apparatus should also be conducted to ensure continued safe operation. The results of the annual / periodic safety inspection, including maintenance and repairs, adjustments and other findings shall be included in the logbook and made available to an officer upon request.
After each inspection is conducted, collect the electronic signatures of all supervisors and save the completed hoist and winch inspection form safely and securely to the GoCanvas Cloud. Generate a PDF of the inspection report and send it to all appropriate parties.

Don't take our word for it...
“I’m not a tech guy and I was able to pick this thing up in probably an hour, and actually start to build apps. I’ve done them over lunch when I’ve gotten frustrated with a process that didn’t exist in our company. So for non tech people who’ve got a problem, the support here is awesome and I’d recommend it to anybody, not just in our industry.”
