Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The Housing Choice Voucher Program assists low-income families to live in decent, safe and sanitary housing by paying a portion of their rent directly to their landlord. The families have the same rights and responsibilities as unassisted families. Property owners have all the rights and responsibilities of landlords renting to unassisted families. As with market tenants, you have the responsibility as an owner to screen and select tenants, collect the rent, maintain the property, and terminate the lease, if appropriate. In order for your unit to qualify for the program, it must be inspected every year.
Use the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Inspection Checklist mobile app to make sure your rental units are in compliance. After downloading to an iPhone, iPad, or Android device, you can easily check the safety and sanitation of your rental units, if the units have satisfactory quality standards, electricity and plumbing is in working order, and much more. The app can be customized to meet the needs of your specific dwelling units.
Each annual inspection checklist is saved in the GoCanvas Cloud and can be shared as a PDF if it needs to be sent to the local public housing authority, family who wants to rent from you, or kept for your records."

“I’m not a tech guy and I was able to pick this thing up in probably an hour, and actually start to build apps. I’ve done them over lunch when I’ve gotten frustrated with a process that didn’t exist in our company. So for non tech people who’ve got a problem, the support here is awesome and I’d recommend it to anybody, not just in our industry.”
