The Audit should be conducted by a member of the Health Service Safety and Quality Team and involve a 10 – 20% random sample of surgery’s preformed during the audit period. The app records the hospital theatre, clinical specialty (i.e. Orthopedic Surgery), total number of cases, number of cases sampled, date, time period, auditor and captures the auditor’s signature. The app checks that a completed surgical team safety checklist has been placed in the patient’s medical record and reviews pre-incision and post procedures for the theatre.
