Reclaimed Water Service Dye Testing Requirements
Dye Testing shall be conducted in the presence of, and with approval by the water company on all facilities where reclaimed water service is to be provided using the Reclaimed Water Service Dye Testing Requirements mobile app.

Testing shall be performed prior to final approval of initial connections to the water company’s reclaimed water distribution system, immediately after alterations to the consumer’s system, and at least once every calendar year (periodic dye testing). During the initial dye test, you will pressurize the reclaimed water system with potable water through a temporary connection. During periodic dye testing, the reclaimed water system shall remain pressurized with reclaimed water. All consumers must provide dye injection ports on the consumer’s side of the reclaimed water meter. Dye injection ports must be secured so that access is limited to trained personnel and the water company only.
