The welding process is performed by welders regularly - given proper personal protective equipment, welding equipment, and responsible welding operation, the welding process typically is safe. However, there are a number of hazards in welding including noxious welding fumes, electrical shock, burns from the arc, vision damage of the arc flash, burns from hot metal, and other problems that can arise if a welder is working in a confined space. Accordingly, a range of equipment can protect welders - these include welding helmets, protective clothing/protective apparel, eye protection (either in the form a face shield that may be connected to a helmet, or safety goggles with filter glass), welding gloves, and other welding safety gear. The welding process, and associated hazards, can be made more safe when performed by certified and trained welders that utilize this checklist. The steps in the checklist can prevent electric shocks, burns, and inhalation of fumes.

“I’m not a tech guy and I was able to pick this thing up in probably an hour, and actually start to build apps. I’ve done them over lunch when I’ve gotten frustrated with a process that didn’t exist in our company. So for non tech people who’ve got a problem, the support here is awesome and I’d recommend it to anybody, not just in our industry.”
