The owner can provide the type of vessel it is, the name of the ship, port of registry, a, any sister ships, and current flag and class designation. All information about the current owner, ship manager, and any other contact person should also be provided. The type of vessel can include supply vessel, patrol boat, dredgers, tug boat, barges, ferries, yachts, or other types of vessels.
Requested class notification will require details about the dimensions of the vessel, machinery, type of propulsion, emergency generators, and type of materials used in the hull. All certificates and documents for the ship should be noted and the present class society or flag state authority who has issued the certificate should be indicated. Certificates for cargo safety, pollution prevention, gross tonnage, passenger safety, compliance documents and manual review, and other security and shipboard audits should be included.
