After a crime, law enforcement, police, and crime scene investigators may need to specific on recording victim body measurements data immediately. Each crime scene investigation is unique, and as such, the establishment of a clear and direct method of communicating scene information is required. As a victim's body is often evidence, having measurements of the body can help investigators and forensic science professionals and/or medical examiners to identify causes of injuries, times of injuries, and, in cases of death, potential causes of death.
