There are two main types: Gas powered strimmers are used for heavy-duty work, are cordless, and are powered by a small engine. Electric strimmers are for lighter work, require electricity supply for power. A strimmer works by having a thin plastic or nylon thread or cord (sometimes a steel blade) that spins at a high rate of speed to cut through grass, weeds or any other relatively soft organic material. Toolbox Talk (UK) app describes how to best use strimmers, such as cutting grass that a lawnmower can’t reach or is otherwise unable to cut, including lawn edges; long grass and tall weeds; areas of rough vegetation, particularly around trees; grass that meets up with a wall or fence, and sloping areas where it is dangerous to use a lawnmower. Safety guidelines should always be in place and every precaution should be taken to prevent injury.

Don't take our word for it...
“I’m not a tech guy and I was able to pick this thing up in probably an hour, and actually start to build apps. I’ve done them over lunch when I’ve gotten frustrated with a process that didn’t exist in our company. So for non tech people who’ve got a problem, the support here is awesome and I’d recommend it to anybody, not just in our industry.”
