The Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) developed this Manufactured Home Inspection Checklist app to help residents gauge how vulnerable their home might be to wind damage, based on where it is located, how well it is anchored, and what type of foundation was used. The app reviews high wind safety cautions and explains the various wind zones for manufactured home residents. Residents can go through the checklist (which contains sections on: site characteristics, conditions of exterior surfaces, foundation and support structures, piers, framing, anchor requirements, and perimeter blocking) to gauge how to protect their homes."
