Next, you must determine change intervals for belts and other drive components (tensioning pulley/idlers, water pump, vibration damper, overrunning alternator pulley etc.). The Belt Change Checklist app contains the procedures for changing a belt. The app reviews the procedures step by step, making it easy to follow. Steps include items such as: conduct a visual inspection of the belt: belt profile wear, edge wear, damage to belt reverse, cracks/breakouts, check belt tension (tension check in SEEM or Hz / pointer position), ancillary drive: check alignment of all belt pulleys and rollers in drive (angular offset, axial offset) using ContiTech LASER TOOL, etc. Check out the app for the full set of procedures.

Don't take our word for it...

“I’m not a tech guy and I was able to pick this thing up in probably an hour, and actually start to build apps. I’ve done them over lunch when I’ve gotten frustrated with a process that didn’t exist in our company. So for non tech people who’ve got a problem, the support here is awesome and I’d recommend it to anybody, not just in our industry.”
