Texas Industrial Hazardous Waste Focused Investigation For SQG Tanks Checklist

Small Quantity Generators (SQGs) generate more than 100 kilograms, but less than 1,000 kilograms of hazardous waste per month. Often times, this hazardous waste is stored in underground storage tanks, or above ground tanks. To ensure environmental protection and to minimize damages from leaks and improperly maintained storage tanks, investigations are often carried out by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality which oversees disposal facilities and hazardous waste management programs. The regular inspection of storage tanks is of critical importance for resource conservation, and ensuring that SQGs are practicing proper containment and abiding by all key federal regulations and state regulations.
