Shipping containers will undergo inspection for cleanliness, confirming that the containers are clean and free of pests. The importer must also declare if any restricted packing materials were used. Additionally, the importer should declare details about wood packaging used in a shipment, such as if it is ISPM compliant. Requirements for import declaration may also include shipping information, such as the vessel number, voyage number and the number of the freight containers.
