The safety officer or their designee should work with their department to coordinate the disinfection or sterilization of equipment, hoods and lab benches, movement of material from the lab for surplus, repair or relocation, and proper disposal of any chemical, biological, or radiological waste following applicable regulations. A good chemical hygiene plan focuses on procedures focusing on a variety of hazards - the removal of biohazardous materials, chemical inventory, and other hazardous chemicals. Chemical waste that is not dealt would be hazardous to new occupants, so the laboratory staff must focus on every step to decontaminate all areas of the lab, including safety cabinets, containers, fume cupboards, and all laboratory equipment. The app can be used to show that the lab has been decontaminated, and that all health and safety measures have been addressed and that the decommissioning process has been completed to a stringent level of biological safety.

“I’m not a tech guy and I was able to pick this thing up in probably an hour, and actually start to build apps. I’ve done them over lunch when I’ve gotten frustrated with a process that didn’t exist in our company. So for non tech people who’ve got a problem, the support here is awesome and I’d recommend it to anybody, not just in our industry.”
