Lean LAB Checklist

Laboratories have different challenges compared to manufacturing environments; while most of the key principles of traditional Lean still apply, there are many unique points to be adopted in laboratories. This Lean LAB Checklist aims to give the laboratory an easy approach to help managers develop their laboratory into a 'Lean LAB.' Some benefits of a Lean LAB approach include a more defined, structured and controlled laboratory process delivering more consistent and predictable laboratory performance, reduced levels of WIP (Work In Process), and a culture of proactive performance management and continuous improvement, among many others. Using the app allows the laboratory to focus on the principles of lean, and move these principles forward focusing on lean operations and lean methods to improve the laboratory organization.
