About a month before moving, the user should be creating an inventory of household items, using a floor plan of the new home to determine what furniture will fit in the space, start labeling where items will go in the new home, and start to transfer serviced like utilities and phone service. It's also time to start packing! A couple of weeks prior to moving, the user should confirm details of the move, and apply for a change of address with the post office so no mail is missed.
