In order to ensure workplace safety, tower engineers must carefully follow procedures and conduct a frequent inspection. The Tower Assembly Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA) app is a risk assessment tool for monitoring tower assembly activities. The app outlines the job description and information about the worksite. An app user can put together a list of personal protective equipment including safety glasses, hard hats, and fall protection. For each work activity, the user can identify potential hazards, preventative measures, and a list of inspection requirements for both the operator and worksite supervisor to inspect. For example, during the mobilization and set-up of the assist crane, potential safety hazards include poor ground conditions, weather issues, and worksite traffic that could intrude on the set-up of all components. Corrective measures could include a careful site plan for the operation, monitoring weather conditions, and clearing deck on unnecessary equipment. This app can be an essential part of a safety program for a construction site, specifically for identifying hazards in various tower assembly procedures while promoting the health and safety of all workers.

Don't take our word for it...

“I’m not a tech guy and I was able to pick this thing up in probably an hour, and actually start to build apps. I’ve done them over lunch when I’ve gotten frustrated with a process that didn’t exist in our company. So for non tech people who’ve got a problem, the support here is awesome and I’d recommend it to anybody, not just in our industry.”
