Fabric Inspection Using Four-Point System
If there are 10 rolls and each one is a different type of fabric or a different design, all the fabric rolls have to be checked.

However, in most cases there are several identical rolls, and statistical sampling helps us reduce the amount of work. But most of the times clients impose their own methods: for example “take 10% of the rolls at random”, or “check the square root of the total number of rolls”. All are usually workable. At least one roll of each color / quality is selected. If more than one roll per color/quality must be inspected, then the number of additional roles in proportion to the total rolls per color/quality is inspected. The number of presented rolls, and the length & width of each inspected roll, is verified. Some tolerance is necessary because the factory’s machine (see above image) is often imprecise. Usually the client sends some fabric swatches for reference. It is great to check the conformity of production, also packing and labeling. The Fabric Inspection Using Four-Point System mobile app allows you to replace your paper inspection with an Android or iPhone. The mobile form includes fields to document items such as date, manufacturer, defect descriptions, inspector and captures the inspector's signature. Once the mobile app is filled out a secure PDF is generated. The PDF is easy to share, and a copy is stored in your account for your clothing manufacturing records. You can also use the App Builder to personalize and customize this mobile form.

Don't take our word for it...
“I’m not a tech guy and I was able to pick this thing up in probably an hour, and actually start to build apps. I’ve done them over lunch when I’ve gotten frustrated with a process that didn’t exist in our company. So for non tech people who’ve got a problem, the support here is awesome and I’d recommend it to anybody, not just in our industry.”
