Asbestos Notification Form (S.I. 589 of 2010) (Ireland)

In the late 1970's/early 1980's experts determined that exposure to asbestos was a major contributing factor to cancer, lung disease, damage to lung tissue, and other health issues. Laws and regulations now prohibit the use of asbestos in building materials in many countries to help minimize the health risk. Additionally, any time a company that is working with building materials containing asbestos, doing asbestos removal or there is any risk of exposure to asbestos, the company must notify local health and safety authorities. The Asbestos Notification Form (S.I. 589 of 2010) (Ireland) app should be completed by an asbestos removal contractor prior to starting work on an abatement project or before engaging in the demolition of remodeling of a building with asbestos-containing materials. The app will include details about the work site, the type of asbestos involved, and the quantity at the work site. The link between asbestos exposure and cancer as well as other diseases is undeniable. Contractors doing this work run a higher risk of exposure to friable asbestos, asbestos materials, and asbestos fibers, all of which can pose a major health risk.

“I’m not a tech guy and I was able to pick this thing up in probably an hour, and actually start to build apps. I’ve done them over lunch when I’ve gotten frustrated with a process that didn’t exist in our company. So for non tech people who’ve got a problem, the support here is awesome and I’d recommend it to anybody, not just in our industry.”
