While both fluorescent and nonfluorescent techniques are available, most aviation applications involve the use of fluorescent penetrants in a bulk process. A series of steps involving precleaning, application of penetrant, removal of excess penetrant, application of developer, and examination under appropriate light, and post cleaning, is needed. During certification, written procedures should be required, which are applicable to the part or group of parts being tested. During audit/evaluation and surveillance the adherence to the procedures should be verified. The NDI evaluation checklist app is a tool to be used in certification, audit/evaluation, and surveillance of nondestructive testing facilities. This checklist is designed to provide a standardized approach to evaluate an NDI facility. The checklist is intended to be a tool to be used in preparation for the evaluation of NDI facilities. It is not intended to be used as a checkoff form during on-site visits. The Non-Destructive Inspection NDI Evaluation Checklist Written Procedures for Liquid Penetrant mobile app allows you to replace your paper inspection with a smartphone or tablet. The mobile form includes fields to document items such as facility name and address, certificate number, principal contact, type of inspection performed and date of evaluation. Once the mobile app is filled out a secure PDF is generated. The PDF is easy to share, and a copy is stored in your account for your NDT non-destructive testing records. You can also use the App Builder to personalize and customize this mobile form.

Don't take our word for it...
“I’m not a tech guy and I was able to pick this thing up in probably an hour, and actually start to build apps. I’ve done them over lunch when I’ve gotten frustrated with a process that didn’t exist in our company. So for non tech people who’ve got a problem, the support here is awesome and I’d recommend it to anybody, not just in our industry.”
