Growers should use fresh water to ensure the vegetables are free of dirt and debris so that microorganisms can be removed with sanitizers, such as chlorine dioxide or other antimicrobial chemicals. Good agricultural practices, aka best management practices (BMPs) dictate that the work environment is free of contamination safety hazards and maintained regularly. The BMPs for Vegetable Production: Processing / Packing Line Water Log app should be used as part of the food safety plan to document cleaning and maintenance. The app will include a cleaning list focusing on the contact surface, dump tanks, flumes, wash tanks, and hydro coolers. The growers should maintain these records to ensure safe production of the fresh vegetables and eliminate the risk for foodborne illness.

Don't take our word for it...

“I’m not a tech guy and I was able to pick this thing up in probably an hour, and actually start to build apps. I’ve done them over lunch when I’ve gotten frustrated with a process that didn’t exist in our company. So for non tech people who’ve got a problem, the support here is awesome and I’d recommend it to anybody, not just in our industry.”
