It is their responsibility to ensure the raw water undergoes a stringent filtration process. The water should undergo regular sampling, with multiple measurements taken and data about the water recorded - a best management practice (BMP) in agriculture. If there are waterborne diseases, bacteria, viruses or other contaminants in the water, the employee or worker should add chemicals to the water to make it safe for consumption, but also not too many chemicals that will harm others or the environment as it is disposed of. The BMPs for Vegetable Production: Water Treatment Log app will guide a grower through the process of sampling the quality of the water. The app will look for measurements on water pH levels, types of chemicals used, the amount added and the type of produce being cleaned.

“I’m not a tech guy and I was able to pick this thing up in probably an hour, and actually start to build apps. I’ve done them over lunch when I’ve gotten frustrated with a process that didn’t exist in our company. So for non tech people who’ve got a problem, the support here is awesome and I’d recommend it to anybody, not just in our industry.”
