Water is a commodity we often take for granted.

Many countries have easy access to potable water for washing our hands, cleaning produce and other food, and for drinking. When handling food items or in food preparation, growers need to ensure the water they have access to is clean and free of contaminants. In food preparation, drinking water may be used to clean produce. It may come from a private well or from a municipal/city source, but either way, it must undergo regular testing and monitoring for chemical hazards, microbial contamination, heavy metals, bacteria and other contaminants that put consumers at risk. Using a potable water supply to clean fruits and vegetables will ensure safe consumption the produce and control what contaminants people are exposed to. The Farm Food Safety Plan: Potable Water Availability app should be used by growers to document the source of their potable water supply and any documentation for testing, monitoring, and storage.

Don't take our word for it...
“I’m not a tech guy and I was able to pick this thing up in probably an hour, and actually start to build apps. I’ve done them over lunch when I’ve gotten frustrated with a process that didn’t exist in our company. So for non tech people who’ve got a problem, the support here is awesome and I’d recommend it to anybody, not just in our industry.”
