Well Yield and Drawdown Test Procedures: Well Recovery
Water wells provide drinking water for public and private consumption and depend on a pump to extract the water.

Routinely, technicians should conduct test procedures to ensure the efficiency of the pump. Pump tests are conducted to ensure that enough water is available to provide for the system's needs without negatively impacting the groundwater supply or other existing wells. For example, groundwater at one well may have a constant flow rate and have a stabilized pumping water level, but a neighboring well may have a decreasing water level. The Well Yield and Drawdown Test Procedures: Well Recovery app is used to collect test data such as water level measurements and pump discharge rate from a good pump. The app features a chart that captures all measurements from the pump test. Over a period of time, the technician conducting the pump test will collect the following data and record on the chart: the air-line pressure, water above the pump, depth to water, drawdown rate, meter reading, and pump discharge rate.

“I’m not a tech guy and I was able to pick this thing up in probably an hour, and actually start to build apps. I’ve done them over lunch when I’ve gotten frustrated with a process that didn’t exist in our company. So for non tech people who’ve got a problem, the support here is awesome and I’d recommend it to anybody, not just in our industry.”
