Brewers Association BMPs - Hazard Assessment

Employers should strive to make their workplace a safe space, free of hazards and dangerous situations. Breweries are no exception to this rule. Even in the best of situations, the brewing process involves loud noises, the potential for broken glass, flammable materials, mechanical equipment, chemical materials, powered industrial trucks, and other hazardous situations. It is impossible to eliminate exposure to every single health hazard, training employees on workplace safety practice will greatly reduce the risk of injury. Employees in the brewing industry should undergo occupational safety training regularly, and conducting a hazard assessment will help put preventive controls in place. The Brewers Association BMPs - Hazard Assessment should be used by breweries to conduct risk management and perform a hazard analysis assessment as a part of developing and executing best management practices (BMPs).
