A brewery laboratory is an important part of the brewing process. The job of the laboratory technician begins with testing the quality of the product from the supply chain, such as hops and yeast, and doesn't end until months after the beer has been produced with a quality control analysis of the final product. A laboratory technician will also experiment with the brewing process and test new strategies for the brewing industry. As the laboratory will handle sensitive materials, use equipment that may be hazardous, and conduct potentially dangerous tasks, the laboratory will need to abide by good laboratory practices to ensure safe operations. The ASBC Lab Safety Checklist app should be used by a brewery laboratory manager to make certain the lab is operating safely. The app will encourage review of safety features such as safe storage of chemical materials, equipment cleaning and maintenance, review of safety strategies for employees, use of personal protective equipment around hazards, and best practices for overall operations.

Don't take our word for it...
“I’m not a tech guy and I was able to pick this thing up in probably an hour, and actually start to build apps. I’ve done them over lunch when I’ve gotten frustrated with a process that didn’t exist in our company. So for non tech people who’ve got a problem, the support here is awesome and I’d recommend it to anybody, not just in our industry.”
