Floors and walkways should be clear of clutter and spills, and stairwells, including handrails, should comply with local regulations. Signs and lightening fixtures should be securely attached to walls, and lighting should be adequate for space. Storage systems, including chemicals and other hazardous materials, as well as electrical work, need to meet local and federal regulations. Brewing equipment should be maintained regularly and inspected before, during, and after the brewing process or the distilling process. Fire safety plans, emergency operations, and other first-aid equipment should all be accessible. Personal protective equipment should always be used, and hazardous chemicals and garbage should all be properly disposed of.
